Our Program
Lifestyle
Cardiorespiratory
We cover its influence on longevity and which metrics matter including VO2 max, nocturnal resting HR, HR dip, and HRV. We set optimal goals and explore how to efficiently improve your metrics.
Strength
We describe its impact on functional ability and overall health. We define grip strength, common lifts, and DEXA metrics. We identify goals, optimal values, and how to efficiently improve your strength metrics.
Stability & Flexibility
We discuss the significance of maintaining strong stability and flexibility into old age. We define metrics for assessing these such as the modified Romberg test and set optimal goals for you to work towards.
Nutrition
We break down our nutrition module into three buckets: energy balance, protein balance, and food quality. We relate them to the client's health profile and identify strategies to optimize each bucket.
Sleep
We explore its effects on healthspan and lifespan. We define metrics for assessing sleep quality and set goal targets. We apply our protocol for improving sleep quality as needed.
Other
We cover alcohol, smoking, substance use, stress, and social quality as it relates to longevity, exploring strategies for mitigating certain behaviors as needed.
Disease-specific
Cardiovascular
We describe the drivers of atherosclerosis and what metrics we can use to monitor them including ApoB, hs-CRP, Lp(a), and advanced imaging modalities as appropriate. We set goal levels for each and explore client-centered strategies for achieving them.
Cancer
We cover guideline screenings and help make sense of advanced screening options including multicancer early detection tests, full body MRIs, and broadening current screening protocols using probability algorithms and risk-benefit discussions to determine test value.
Metabolic
We define the metabolic diseases and how they contribute to overall health. We identify metabolic-specific laboratory metrics, CGM data, and DEXA parameters, setting optimal goals for each. We explore personalized strategies for combating insulin resistance.
Neurocognitive
We highlight the importance of prevention given lack of effective dementia treatment and identify risk factors including ApoE. We cover controlling vascular metrics, exercise, nutrition, cognitive and social engagement, and cognitively impairing medications.
Geromedicine
Principles
We discuss the idea of targeting aging biology as a means of prevention. We offer simplistic ways to think about aging in the context of lifestyle and disease-specific prevention. We review what we know and what we don't know in aging science and it's translation to clinical medicine.
Gerotherapeutics
For certain individuals who meet criteria we explore a comprehensive risk-benefit analysis for each gerotherapeutic regimen. Although we believe everyone can benefit from knowing geromedicine principles, we do not believe everyone should be on gerotherapeutics.
Additional counseling
We provide counsel on various topics outside of our pillars including supplements, hormone replacement therapy, genetic testing, biological age testing, multiomic testing, microbiome testing, exosome therapies, peptide therapies, PRP, stem cell therapy, plasma exchange, and more.
